Sarah Lawrie - AHT Team Leader

Originally from New Zealand, Sarah first joined the Island Veterinary Hospital team in 1992 as an Animal Health Technician graduating from Fairview, College in Alberta.   Combining her many years experience of nursing care with her ability to multitask, Sarah is one our Team Leaders, working closely with our technician and assistant staff and Hospital Administration. 

In addition to her interest in management, Sarah has a special interest in emergency medicine having spent 2 years at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Toronto, and continues updating her skills with new medical therapies and procedures. 

Sarah has a great sense of humour, which keeps our hospital light-hearted and fun.  Sarah's artistic talents are often seen in personalized tattoos in pets.  Along with the identifpet tattoo, this identification has reunited many lost pets with their caregivers. 

Sarah and her veterinarian husband, Ian, enjoy spending time together travelling or relaxing at home with their four dogs and three cats.
